About the Founder

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR

Isaac Aggrey holds Executive MBA obtained from IEDC-Bled School of Management and has 10 years experience in Consultancy, Training and Coaching relating to businesses.

Isaac developed his social development skills when he opted to teach science and mathematics in a remote rural school during his national service.

He had most of his experience from SIFE, BMF and SAVILLE AND HOLDSWORTH (UK) CENCOMM where he had the responsibility to provide entrepreneurship, leadership and basic supervisory skills respectively.

Isaac has given students and community members an opportunity to grow and to make a difference in the environment in which they live. He has also set a pace for young disadvantaged individuals to converge to share their innovative ideas and accomplishments with top business organizations of today to foster a better future for all.

His expertise and mentorship has empowered young adult women, unemployed youth and graduates which has propelled them to far-reaching results thereby creating sustainable enterprises within marginalised communities in South Africa.

Isaac has answered the call to support youth entrepreneurship in Africa and has been honoured with prestigious awards.

He has a passion, strong ethical values and a sense of community development in Africa and has participated in different forums that seek to alleviate poverty and unemployment. His inspiration lies in helping others to succeed.

As the demands of the global economy place increased pressure on societies to become self sufficient, the importance of providing opportunities to those who lack the necessary education and financial resources has become increasingly apparent. The emotional and material support generated by projects such as those initiated by Isaac is integral to promoting efficient markets and thus helping to alleviate poverty.

Well known for the numerous roles he plays in youth entrepreneurship, Isaac has pledged his support in empowering and developing young Managers and Leaders in various institutions across Africa.

The role entrepreneurship plays in the growth of developing country, such as South Africa, is undeniable. Through the success of his entrepreneurial endeavors, Isaac has recognised the amenability of the South African entrepreneurship and is ready to associate himself with all those willing to embark on entrepreneurial ventures in marginalised communities.

Isaac is determined to further open the doors for those in need to find ways to help themselves and sees the “teach me how to fish” method of disseminating information as key in countries such as South Africa where resources are often limited.

Isaac believes promoting gender equality and empowering women is the only powerful weapon to address unemployment, poverty alleviation, reduction of crime, restoring the moral fabric and rebuilding of family lives in the long run.

  1. Dear Mr. Aggrey,

I’m compiling a book entitled, The World I See – A Foundation For The Co-Creation Of Our Future, for which I’m requesting your input. The final product will be a book of quotations from people who have dedicated their lives to the positive transformation of human life on Earth.
Because of your commitment to empowering young women in your community, along with your philanthropy achieved at such a young age, it would be an honor to have your participation in this project.

What I’m requesting is a written description of your “dream” world.

If you’re interested I’ve posted more information below. I’m currently seeking young philanthropists worldwide and I found your name on the futureshifters website and followed subsequent information online. Considering the work you’re doing with the Women Business Center, your “voice” in this book would be a wonderful addition.

Thank you for your time and your positive work in the world!

I’m requesting a written description of your perfect world, or your “dream” world. This can be as simple as “I see a world without borders,” or as concise – with as many paragraphs on as many subjects – as you prefer. The description need not begin with certain words nor the paragraphs be particularly formatted, all that is requested is your image of a perfect world: What is it you would desire in a perfect world? What is it that humanity would need in a perfect world? What is your Utopia? What would your “Heaven on Earth” be like? How would you live in your dream world? What would your dream world look like? These are some of the ways to approach the question. Your dream world can be as fantastic and marvelous as you want it to be. There are no rules, no right or wrong descriptions, only the world of your dreams.

Your quotation will be placed in a coffee table book, which, in its final form, will be both a meditation and a written precedent of positive intention for human progress.

Under the pen name Gordon Hammond, I have written four philosophical allegories on human consciousness (The Buttercup Trilogy, Odie, The Word of the Eagle, and The Memoirs of an Anonymous Man) and have studied sustainability and permaculture through Solar Energy International, the High-Altitude Permaculture Institute, and the Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute in the United States, and the Permaforest Trust and the Permaculture Institute in Australia.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have. You will own the copyright to your quote and I will use it for this book title and its subsequent printings for one-time-use only.

Because my own perfect world is one of collective giving, I will be “reverse tithing” – 90% the profits from the book will be dispersed equally to organizations chosen by those contributing quotes. As of today, November 19, 2008, 66 participants have joined the project; all are doing wonderful work throughout the world.

For your convenience you have the option of using the form below and returning it to this email (worldisee@ymail.com) at your convenience. The deadline is March 23, 2009.

    Thank you for participating!
